Health Administration Programs

The graduate and undergraduate programs in health administration (bachelor's degree, master's degree, and graduate certificates) prepare students to become managers in a variety of settings including hospitals; clinics; community health, home care, assisted living/senior housing communities; managed care organizations; physician practices; advocacy organizations and professional associations; the insurance industry; and consultant services. Graduates of our programs work in both the public and private sectors and hold a variety of managerial positions.

Both the BS in Health Administration and MHA programs are available in traditional and fully online formats.

Programs in Health Administration

Master's Degree

Health Systems Management, MHA

Prepares health care professionals to become leaders and executive-level managers in a variety of systems and organizations within the health care field. The MHA is offered online and on-campus.

Graduate Certificate

Healthcare Quality Graduate Certificate

The Graduate Certificate in Healthcare Quality prepares students to evaluate and improve healthcare quality using both quantitative and qualitative methods. Graduates will be equipped to help organizations manage and enhance the quality of care.

Bachelor's Degrees

The BS, Health Administration degree prepares graduates to serve in entry-level management, administrative and support positions in a variety of health-related organizations and settings.

Both concentrations in the BS, Health Administration program are offered online and on-campus. An accelerated pathway to earn a Master of Health Administration is also available.

Minor

Senior Housing Administration Minor

Provides foundational knowledge required for work as an administrator or manager of residential communities for older adults.
